My Style: Candid Photography

In my eyes, the most beautiful moments are candid, heartfelt, natural moments. Not moments that are forced or posed. Ones that are not, “Susie, look over here. Susie. SUSIE!” Ones that come naturally and show relate-able human feelings and emotions.
When I am photographing people, I love to catch the candid moments that show the most emotion. This is especially fun with kids, not forcing them in to a pose and just being able to appreciate them as they are in their element. The caption of each photo below describes how Brayden made the session better by being himself and having a photographer that went with the flow.
I have a horrible memory, so photos help me recall the moments and memories that make up my life. I cherish photos of my family when we were young, photos of my grandparents with us playing games at the campground, photos of my brother and me, photos from college and meeting lifelong friends, photos from my trip to Venezuela. The season of life is not important, capturing you/your loved ones as you are today is what’s meaningful and valuable.
If you are interested in a photo session to capture real moments with the humans you love, I’m open for some Sunday sessions this summer, just reach out!
